Job summary

U.S. International Development Finance Corporation invites a Senior Strategy Advisor (Transport Infrastructure) to set strategy, monitor U.S. policy priorities, and shape the sector pipeline.

You will support transactions across transport infrastructure with policy expertise and coordinate with managing directors and overseas offices. The role requires drafting policy papers, briefings, and other documents for senior leadership, while monitoring global events and aligning objectives with U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing thorough, written documents for principal briefings and communicating with high-level officials.
• Experience monitoring and analyzing sectoral, political, and economic events related to the Transport Infrastructure sector.
• Experience conducting international business development and determining whether complex projects/investments in Transport Infrastructure are financeable and durable.

Responsibilities

• Drive sector strategy aligned with U.S. government foreign policy objectives and identify priority infrastructure nodes and corridors.
• Convert strategy into strategic deals engaging developers, operators, and government counterparts; originate opportunities across ports, airports, and rail systems.
• Support transactions with sector expertise: evaluate fit to policy objectives, assess sponsors and project economics, and shape policy terms in project structures.
• Draft and clear policy papers, briefing memos, press guidance, and correspondence for senior offices; accompany principals in meetings as subject matter expert.
• Monitor sectoral, political, and economic events relevant to DFC's transport infrastructure work and brief senior leadership on trends.
• Advance interagency national security and foreign policy initiatives to align with legislation and policy goals.
