Job Juncture in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements, deliver high‑quality compliance, planning and advisory services, and drive growth for the firm and its clients.

You will mentor Managers, Seniors, and Staff Accountants, manage staffing, budgets and timelines, and foster strong client relationships with executives while staying current on evolving federal, state and local tax laws and industry developments.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment.
• Proven expertise in managing complex tax engagements and serving as a trusted advisor.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and retaining professional staff.
• Excellent analytical, technical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a varied client portfolio.
• Oversee and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns and workpapers.
• Act as a strategic advisor, deeply understanding client business objectives and offering tailored solutions.
• Forge and sustain strong relationships with client executives, business owners, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple client engagements efficiently, focusing on planning, staffing, budgeting, timelines, deliverables, and profitability.
• Drive sustainable firm growth through proactive client service and strategic guidance.
• Contribute to business development through networking, proposal support, and identifying new service opportunities.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Managers, Seniors, and Staff Accountants, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Stay abreast of tax law changes and industry developments through continuous learning and professional involvement.
• Reinforce the firm’s strategic objectives and commitment to exceptional client service.
