Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic capital projects across our manufacturing network. You will ensure EHS compliance, manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality, and collaborate with ME&C, Quality, and Procurement to drive top-tier performance.

Reporting to the Director, US Strategic Projects, this role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, financial discipline, and risk management.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
10+ years of experience as an Engineering Leader/Projects/Operations Leader across multiple Drug product operations.
In-depth technical and operational expertise in aseptic and sterile manufacturing.
Proven inclusive management of diverse, cross-functional teams.
Strong oral and written communication with senior leadership, regulators, and government agencies.
Excellent negotiation skills with financial acumen and project leadership experience.
Ability to lead change and deliver results in a matrix organization.
Travel to project sites and design reviews/workshops as required.

Responsibilities

Single point responsibility to ensure all project objectives are achieved.
Drive EHS and engineering policy compliance across projects.
Lead end-to-end project execution and manage risks with mitigation plans.
Collaborate with ME&C, Quality, Procurement for strategic sourcing and schedule control.
Monitor progress with KPIs and escalate issues to steering committees.
Present project performance to senior leadership, regulators, and external agencies.
Foster innovation and knowledge sharing across teams to improve efficiency.
