Job summary

Protective Asset Protection seeks a senior underwriting and portfolio leader to connect underwriting judgement with actuarial analysis, pricing, forecasting, and performance management across automotive protection products and related lines.

You will guide strategy, governance, and data-driven decisions, build forecasting tools, and lead a high-performing team across actuarial, product, finance, and operations to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, stats, economics, finance, risk management, business, or related field.
• 7+ years of underwriting/actuarial/portfolio management experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience and people management.
• Experience managing portfolio performance and profitability across multiple products/markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio risk management and performance oversight across products, programs, distribution channels, and geographies.
• Analyze loss, exposure, pricing, frequency, severity, mix-of-business, and market trends to identify risks and recommend actions.
• Direct underwriting strategy and governance, including pricing, eligibility, authority, referral, and exception frameworks.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Product, Finance, Sales, and Operations to evaluate changes and profitability.
