Job summary

Protective Asset Protection seeks a senior insurance leader to connect underwriting judgment with actuarial analysis, pricing, forecasting, and portfolio performance management across automotive, marine, powersports, and recreation vehicle markets.

You will guide development of forecasts, models, dashboards, and scenario analyses while advising executives on growth, profitability, and risk. Build capability with talent development and governance enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 7+ years in underwriting, actuarial, portfolio management, product management, risk management, or related insurance discipline.
• 4+ years of leadership experience including direct people management.
• Experience managing portfolio performance and profitability across multiple products or channels.
• Experience using analytics and financial insights to support strategic decisions.
• Proven ability to partner across functions to shape strategy and execute initiatives.
• Ability to present recommendations and influence senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio risk management and performance oversight across products and geographies.
• Analyze loss, exposure, pricing, and market trends to identify risks and actions.
• Direct underwriting strategy and governance including pricing and authority frameworks.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Product, Finance, Sales, and Operations on pricing and reserving implications.
• Develop forecasts, models, dashboards, and simulations; translate results into business actions.
• Establish portfolio monitoring routines and executive reporting for profitability and risk.
• Influence product design and program strategy considering financial impacts.
• Lead complex decisions in ambiguous situations and communicate trade-offs to executives.
• Improve underwriting processes, data, tools, and governance for speed and quality.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
