Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to advise senior leaders and translate business strategy into HR initiatives. The role focuses on talent, organizational design, and culture to support a fast-moving, technical workforce and IDEXX’s priorities.

You will act as a strategic thought partner on workforce planning, design, and succession, while enabling leadership transitions and executive coaching to strengthen leadership effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR business partnering.
• Experience leading organizational design and operating model discussions.
• Ability to apply data and insight to diagnose organizational challenges, with financial and operational literacy.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and framing pragmatic recommendations.
• Skill aligning cross-functional partners to deliver scalable talent solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, evolving, or newly structured organizations.
• Experience supporting executive leaders in scaling or transformation environments.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
• Regular on-site presence required at IDEXX Headquarters in Westbrook, Maine.

Responsibilities

• Advise senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, compensation, and talent strategies.
• Enable leadership transitions by establishing strong operating rhythms and positioning leaders for early success.
• Provide executive coaching that strengthens leadership effectiveness and decision-making.
• Broker high-performing collaboration across senior teams and activate targeted development plans.
• Use people analytics to diagnose organizational challenges and inform priorities.
• Lead organizational design initiatives aligned to evolving business strategies.
• Partner with HR COEs to deliver integrated, business-aligned solutions that scale.
• Drive core talent processes including succession planning, performance cycles, and leadership reviews.
• Partner with leaders to embed a culture of accountability, inclusion, innovation, and operational excellence.
