Water Otter Job Board seeks a skilled mechanical maintenance technician for Houston-area pump stations and storm sewer facilities. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, and coordinate field work with maintenance crews to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires experience with pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment, plus a valid driver's license. May involve training other staff and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and mathematical functions as might be acquired through specialized training of up to nine months of education or training beyond the high school level.

Responsabilités

• Performs skilled mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of pump stations, lift stations, storm sewer facilities, and related equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance, lubrication, adjustments, and repairs on pumps, motors, valves, piping, and other mechanical equipment.
• Inspects facilities and equipment to identify mechanical deficiencies, unsafe conditions, and required repairs; makes recommendations for corrective action.
• Responds to equipment failures and performs emergency and corrective repairs to support reliable operation of stormwater pump and lift stations.
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, labor, materials, parts, equipment, and associated costs and ensures necessary tools, parts, and equipment are available.
• Coordinates and performs field mechanical work and maintains tools and equipment used in StormSewer Maintenance.
• Provides technical guidance and may train, assign, and oversee the work of maintenance personnel performing pump station, lift station, and storm sewer maintenance activities.
