The Senior Store Manager manages a store within the district and has additional responsibilities throughout the district. The Senior Store Manager is responsible for coordinating plans and actions in the areas of people development, sales, payroll, inventory, and budgets with their District Manager. This position ensures that the store provides the highest level of customer service possible. Major parts of the job include managing staff, finding new ways to improve sales, and meeting customer demand. In addition, the Senior Store Manager has responsibilities above and beyond the role of a Store Manager, including driving various key businesses, building new business classifications, and developing talent throughout the district.


Duties And Responsibilities
Personnel Development:
  1. Supports DM in identifying and interviewing potential management candidates, conducts appraisals and performance management.
  2. Supports DM in building bench strength within the District, hires teams who pursue passions that relate to the Company's products and philosophy.
  3. Supports DM by mentoring and providing support to Store Managers within the District.
  4. Manages and motivates store teams to increase sales and improve efficiencies.
  5. Delegates workload effectively to develop managers, as well as to meet business needs.
  6. Supports Store and District in ensuring all employees demonstrate the meaning and importance of customer service.
  7. Promotes a positive work environment by recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining a respectful workplace.
  8. Be personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs.
  9. Inspires employees so that each person contributes to the productivity of the store.
  10. Fosters open communication between stores and corporate business partners and departments.
  11. Writes performance evaluations and goal assessments for the Associate Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Keyholders.

Operations:
  1. Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry and monitor local competitors.
  2. Supports DM by conducting self-audits with attention to key controls involving receiving and cash handling.
  3. Drives improvements as needed.
  4. Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.
  5. Supports DM in maintaining training standards to ensure both product and systems expertise.
  6. Follow and maintain merchandising standards that reflect the image of UGG.

Finance:
  1. Supports District Manager in managing the budgeting and financial planning of stores while achieving results in own store.
  2. Ensure that goals will be met through appropriate planning and organization of staff, inventory, and expenses.
  3. Make staff aware of sales goals.
  4. Monitor the Loss Prevention program to protect the Company's inventory and assets.
  5. Maintains acceptable inventory shrinkage measured as a percentage of sales.
  6. Take necessary action to lower expenses if sales goals are not being met.

Education/Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or Equivalent Experience Required.
  2. 6 Years Minimum Of Retail Store Management Experience Required.

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
