Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Sr Developer, IT Store Sys to design, build, and support software used in Tractor Supply stores across multiple platforms. This role focuses on delivering robust front-end and mobile solutions while gathering requirements and shaping project scope.

You will collaborate with technical leads, analysts, and vendor partners, mentor teammates, and ensure changes are documented and deployed per procedures.

Qualifications

• : 5-9 years of software development experience with front-end or mobile focus
• Kotlin, React Native, React.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript are preferred
• Experience developing Android apps using Kotlin and Android SDK
• Strong knowledge of React.js/React Native, components, hooks, and state management
• Experience with Redux/Redux Toolkit or React Context
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and SSL/TLS
• Experience with authentication (Okta, SSO) and token-based auth
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Experience with Gradle, npm, Yarn, Metro, or similar build tools
• Strong Git and CI/CD practices
• Experience with automated testing tools (JUnit, Jest, RTL, Espresso, Detox)
• Debugging/optimizing web and mobile apps
• Accessibility and responsive design familiarity
• Agile software development practices
• Retail/internal enterprise app experience preferred
• Hardware integrations with store devices (scanners, printers, registers, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure software; build, review, and unit test solutions
• Collaborate with leads, architects, and vendors to define scope and goals
• Refine business requirements into core system capabilities
• Assist in solution design and validation against requirements
• Provide user training materials and sessions for store teams
• Provide 24x7 rotational technical support and document resolutions
• Prototype new requirements to enhance functionality and data flow
• Support QA with test cases and execution
• Mentor teammates on new technologies
• Coordinate with Enterprise teams to document, communicate, and deploy changes
