Job summary

Tractor Supply Company is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and support software running across platforms used in Tractor Supply stores.

You will gather requirements, prototype solutions, mentor team members, and work with architects to ensure scalable deployments.

This role requires strong Java/JEE, Oracle and Unix/Linux expertise, plus experience with web services and modern development tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Proven experience with Java/JEE and Oracle databases; strong SQL/PL/SQL skills.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and web services technologies.

Responsibilities

• Meet with technical leads, architects and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues.
• Partner with business analysts to review and refine requirements into core system capabilities.
• Assist developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and validating solutions.
• Prototype new requirements for enhancing technical functionalities and information flow.
• Develop, configure, build, review and unit test software/solutions.
• Provide 24x7 rotational technical support to solve business problems and document resolution.
