Job summary

Target in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Designer on the Architecture team to translate guest experience, brand, and business strategies into architecturally sound, buildable solutions.

You will own projects from new stores to remodels and work with cross-functional partners to balance design intent with cost, code, and constructability.

Ideal candidates have a Architecture degree (Master’s preferred), 4+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of relevant experience in architecture or retail design.
• Ability to translate design concepts into site-specific architectural solutions.
• Experience producing and/or reviewing construction documentation with consultants.

Responsibilities

• Translate brand, design principles, and briefs into site-specific architectural solutions with a strong point of view.
• Develop building elevations and site adaptations to meet local requirements while preserving design intent.
• Represent and advocate for design intent with municipalities, developers, and internal partners.
• Advance design through Feasibility, Schematic Design, and Construction phases.
