Job summary

M9 Solutions is delivering IT services to federal clients from Washington, DC, requiring an active Public Trust clearance. The Senior Storage Systems Engineer will work onsite to ensure secure, reliable VMware-based infrastructure and hosting environments for government contracts.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and an active Public Trust clearance are required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering/IT (+5 years).
In-depth knowledge of Dell Blade switchings and Firewall Management for Virtual Infrastructures.
Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VMware Aria Operations Suite.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with technical staff and vendors.
SME on two or more of: Kubernetes, Server Hosting, Virtual Networking, Network and Application Security, Scripting/Programming.
Experience with at least 3 of: VMware/Broadcom products, Workspace One/Horizon, Windows/Linux servers, Dell/HPE Blade servers, Kubernetes container infra.
Preferred: Dell/Cisco chassis network and storage switch configuration.

Responsibilities

Review existing operational events and propose refinements to improve uptime and performance.
Interact with client community and various teams for troubleshooting and solution development.
Identify and report on vulnerability/risk state of VM/Container hosting architecture.
Assist in quality control checks for service uptime and operations.
Assist in developing operational metrics for uptime and operations.
