Job summary

CAC I International Inc. seeks a Storage Engineer to support the DIA with enterprise storage architecture design, delivery, and operation. You will analyze requirements, set capacity baselines, and guide AoAs for new technologies to shape IT future strategy.

This role emphasizes collaboration with government stakeholders, ensuring data security, DR planning, and seamless transition from development to operations while advancing infrastructure modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to obtain poly prior to start.
• DOD 8140 Certification applicable to role (minimum Security+).
• HS and 12+ years of experience, an AA and 10+ years of experience, BS/BA and 8+ years of experience, MS/MA and 6+ years of experience, or PhD and 4+ years of experience.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, validating, and implementing IT hardware and software solutions.
• Experience in storage design concepts/processes related to efficient allocation, provisioning, configuration, security, and throughput.
• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) – ONTAP or equivalent OEM vendor certification (Required).
• Willingness to learn new skills and new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software versions, patches, and upgrades for compliance and timelines.
• Incorporate data security in rest and in transit into designs and tests.
• Design disaster recovery plans and backup/archive procedures.
• Create reports and metrics for performance and data usage.
• Test and facilitate accreditation to obtain IATT and ATO.
• Develop wiring diagrams, SOPs, security information, and installation procedures.
• Analyze CONOPS and architectures to produce detailed infrastructure designs.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to meet availability and resiliency goals.
• Research AoAs and technology options for evidence-based decisions.
