Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II - Storage to join a leader in the Technical Services space. This role focuses on designing and scaling core storage and querying systems for a high-volume, production environment, partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions.

You will own technical design, contribute to operational excellence through on-call duties, and mentor teammates while maintaining a hands-on focus to improve platform performance.

Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in storage and querying systems.
Proficiency in Go programming language.
Experience with high-throughput or complex systems.
Familiarity with database engineering and Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and implement solutions for the company's query and data storage infrastructure.
Independently scope and deliver projects from design through production support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with product needs.
Participate in on-call rotations and support services in production.
Explore new technologies and strategies for scaling systems.
Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
Drive initiatives that enhance team knowledge and technology adoption.
