Job summary

Constellation is seeking a Systems Engineer (Storage and Backup Engineer) to deliver and maintain IT storage and backup solutions. You will analyze complex hardware/software issues, maintain storage platforms, and ensure performance and reliability of server solutions.

You will engage with customers, participate in project management, and automate processes while contributing to security-focused initiatives and cloud migrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a technical program with 5 years of IT infrastructure/application design experience, or an Associate's degree with 7 years, or high school equivalent with 9 years of experience.
• Provide 24x7 support and participate in on-call rotation for critical production systems.
• Expert proficiency in at least two engineering domains such as storage, compute, database, collaboration, application design or cloud hosting technologies.
• Consulting, presentation and project management skills to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, implement, and support solutions at the component level with hands-on configuration and optimization.
• Develop and support custom system integration with security-focused platforms.
• Lead technology roadmaps, migrations strategies, and project schedules with leadership.
• Provide expert-level network engineering, design and operation consultation and feasibility analysis for security and architecture.
