Job summary

EOA Technologies, LLC is seeking a Storage Architect to design, deploy, and support storage and backup environments for a U.S. Government customer.

You will lead architecture reviews, optimize systems, and coordinate with other engineers in a high-security, high-availability environment. Responsibilities include incident support, documentation, and staying current with storage innovations to inform future directions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required.
• IAT Level 2 Certification required.
• Hands-on NetApp storage experience required.
• Experience with SAN, NAS, Fiber Channel and iSCSI.
• Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments.
• Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies.
• Senior-level design, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of high availability concepts in storage environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP concepts (TCP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, SNMP, LDAP, DNS, NTP, etc.).
• Experience connecting storage arrays to hypervisor technologies (Nutanix, VMware VCF, OpenStack).
• Understanding of security best practices and federal hardening (FISMA, STIG).
• Proficient written and oral communication, collaborative teamwork, and ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support storage and backup platforms and tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and related technologies.
• Participate in technical reviews and align with engineering standards.
• Evaluate and deploy new technologies with other engineers and architects.
• Provide incident support and participate in on-call rotation.
• Create and maintain run books, diagrams, and other technical docs.
• Oversee installation of storage hardware and software per SOPs.
• Monitor capacity, performance, and utilization; review statistics regularly.
• Stay current on storage/backup developments to guide future direction.
