Job summary

Fuse Eng is seeking a Sr. Technical Consultant focused on storage and backup architectures to design, deploy, and optimize complex storage environments for Federal projects. You will lead engineering efforts, assess technologies, and drive performance tuning while maintaining security standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and architects across data centers, implement high-availability solutions, and ensure compliant configurations and on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• Top Secret SCI w/ Maryland Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools
• Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and other related technologies
• Adhere to engineering and architecture standards and participate in technical review meetings as required
• Participate in evaluation, deployment, management, and integration of new technologies in alignment with other engineers
• Provide incident support and participate in on-call rotation during off-hours and weekends
• Create and maintain documentation: diagrams, run books, and other technical engineering documents
• Demonstrate initiative to optimize systems and processes
• Oversee installation of new storage hardware and software
• Oversee updates to hardware, operating systems, and software
• Ensure systems are monitored and capacity/performance statistics reviewed
• Keep abreast of developments to assist Federal staff in future direction of storage and backup technology
