Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks a Senior Staff Storage Engineer to own architecture, scalability, and performance for NetApp ONTAP and Linux-based storage powering large-scale EDA/HPC workloads.

You will collaborate across CAD, infrastructure, and SRE teams to deliver resilient, scalable storage environments. You will lead roadmaps for ONTAP, StorageGRID, and related platforms, implement IaC with Python, Ansible, Terraform, and mentor engineers while guiding enterprise storage strategy

Qualifications

• 11+ years in enterprise storage engineering with 5+ years supporting large-scale EDA and HPC
• Expert-level ONTAP architecture experience and performance tuning
• Deep Linux filesystem and NFS troubleshooting skills
• Strong automation and IaC experience using Python, Ansible, Terraform

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year architecture, scalability, and capacity roadmap for NetApp ONTAP, StorageGRID, and enterprise storage
• Drive direction for petabyte-scale NFS environments, optimization, and hybrid-cloud storage
• Architect, deploy, and support ONTAP clusters, FlexGroup, SnapMirror, FabricPool, and StorageGRID
• Diagnose end-to-end performance issues across EDA apps, Linux NFS, networking, and ONTAP internals
• Mentor engineers and influence infrastructure strategy across CAD, SRE, and silicon teams
