Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Storage Administrator for an on-site role at a government facility in Annapolis Junction, MD. The candidate will administer and maintain the storage infrastructure, including SAN, ensure security and backup readiness, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.

This position requires a active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and availability to be on-site five days a week.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal requirements.
• On-site work five days per week at a government facility.
• 5+ years in storage administration; 7+ years preferred.
• Experience with IBM storage technologies and SAN infrastructure.
• Ability to perform capacity planning and forecasting.
• Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain storage infrastructure including SAN.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, optimize throughput.
• Provision storage resources and allocate space.
• Troubleshoot storage issues with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Implement and maintain storage security measures.
• Document storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure restorable media and off-site copies are current.
• Manage on-site and off-site storage inventory and recovery readiness.
