Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Storage Administrator to support our federal client in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on managing storage infrastructure, provisioning resources, and ensuring availability, performance, and security of systems.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in storage administration, IBM technologies experience, and DHS agency exposure. This is an on-site position with a five-day workweek and active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security clearance required.
• On-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD; commutable distance.
• Presence on-site five days per week.
• Rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain storage infrastructure, including SAN.
• Monitor storage performance and optimize throughput.
• Provision storage resources and allocate space for applications/data.
• Troubleshoot storage issues with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Implement and maintain storage security measures and encryption.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for growth.
• Document storage configurations, procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Manage restorable media and off-site storage processes.
• Deliver backup materials to recovery facilities/sites.
