Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Storage Administrator to provide expertise to a federal client in support of mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland. This on-site role at Annapolis Junction, MD requires five days on-site and an active Secret clearance.

You will manage and maintain the storage infrastructure, monitor performance, provision resources, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and data protection across SAN environments.

Qualifications

• On-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD with five days per week on-site.
• Active Secret Security clearance required.
• 7+ years of Storage Administration experience or related field.
• Experience with storage area networks (SAN) and IBM storage technologies.
• Certifications such as IBM Storage Solutions are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the storage infrastructure, including SAN.
• Monitor storage performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize throughput.
• Provision storage resources and allocate space for applications and data.
• Troubleshoot storage issues and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Implement storage security measures, including access controls and encryption.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for future growth.
• Create and maintain documentation for configurations and procedures.
• Ensure media controlled and accounted for in inventory and off-site storage.
• Maintain backup materials delivery procedures to recovery facilities.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
