Job summary

Boston Scientific in Coventry, RI is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the sterilization engineering function and build a high‑performing team. You will establish and maintain engineering methodologies, drive Lean, LBP and VIP initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will coach staff, promote a culture of continuous improvement, partner with EH&S, Quality Systems and cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and drive patient-safety‑focused results on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading and managing people.
• Demonstrated ability to champion innovative ideas and techniques for improvement.
• Ability to direct and manage budgets and projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish departmental goals to meet plant and budget objectives.
• Identify and implement commissioning and validation processes for sterilization equipment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S and Quality Systems.
• Manage sterilization equipment upgrades and maintenance.
• Support installation of related equipment and systems.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, DE&I and employee engagement initiatives.
• Coach and develop engineering staff and recruit top talent.
• Monitor safety and maintain policies and procedures.
