Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Central Sterile Technician to independently perform sterile processing tasks, including decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and storage of reusable medical devices and surgical instruments.

You will operate washers and sterilizers, maintain instrument tracking for traceability, manage stock and transport equipment to perioperative areas, and ensure compliance with regulatory and infection prevention

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required or in process.
• Experience in a healthcare central sterile department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and storage of reusable medical devices.
• Operates washers, sterilizers and related equipment per policies.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
• Assembles trays and sets according to tray listings.
• Maintains instrument tracking and inventory.
• Transports instruments to care areas.
• Complies with regulatory and infection prevention standards.
