Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to ensure surgical instruments are decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and ready for use. You will collaborate with the Operating Room and other departments to maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of sterile processing experience, and certification readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two (2) years of sterile processing experience required.
• Certification: RCS/ CSPD preferred or willing to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays according to standards.
• Inventory and restock sterile supplies across hospital departments.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, maintaining records.
• Utilise scanning and computer systems for instrument tracking and case picking.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Rotate between SPD, GI, and OSC departments.
