Job summary

The Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room team with instrument decontamination, sterilization and reprocessing. You will work in the sterile core, handle packaging and storage, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of sterile processing experience or completion of an accredited sterile processing program.
• Certification through IAHSCMM or CBSPD within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package and re-process reusable surgical equipment and scopes.
• Decontamination, sterilization, assembly and storage for the sterile core.
• Maintain inventory and support the operating room team.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, AAMI, OSHA, HIPAA and related standards.
