Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician III — Team Lead to oversee the Decontamination, Assembly and Sterilization workflows in the 48X department. The role supports the Operating Room and Patient Care Services with instrument processing and equipment readiness.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in sterile processing and must obtain advanced certifications within six months of hire, maintaining credentials thereafter. This is a 100% on-site role within Perioperative Services.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years recent experience in a similar Sterile Processing setting.
• Advanced knowledge of AAMI recommended practices.
• Must maintain and renew certifications as required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience/training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Sterile Processing 48X team on scheduled shifts.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly and sterilization workflows.
• Ensure instrument tracking and documentation are accurate.
• Collaborate with OR team to support surgical cases.
• Limit turnaround times and meet deadlines.
