Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Lead Sterile Processing Technician to support the operating room by managing instrument decontamination, sterilization, and documentation. This role ensures timely instrument availability and quality control across SPD operations.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and CSPDT or CRCST certification, with at least 2 years of sterile processing experience. A $5,000 commitment bonus is offered for eligible Lead Technicians.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterile processing procedures and instrumentation.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and quality testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist OR staff in preparing the OR and instrument sets for procedures.
• Ensure sterilization and documentation are completed accurately.
• Communicate with OR and Central Sterile to ensure instrument availability for surgeries.
• Maintain instrument inventory and assist with tray processing and quality testing.
