Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks two 2nd shift POCS – Rahway: Technician, Operations (FLEx Sterile Filling Set-up Technician). You will support sterile filling, lyophilization, and capping within a GMP environment on the 2nd shift.

Responsible for line setup, run execution, and equipment adjustments with a focus on compliance and documentation. Collaborate across Formulation and Quality teams, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher is required.
• Associates degree in Applied Science or equivalent acceptable in lieu of degree.
• Preferred: A.A.S. in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ technician experience in manufacturing or similar setting.
• Must lift 50 lbs and work in cleanroom environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and adjustments for process and production equipment in a cGMP environment.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, EHS and Engineering to improve reliability.
• Operate and maintain isolators and large complex equipment safely.
• Set up, change over, and test runs for various container sizes and caps.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and use PAS-X if available.
• Support GMP compliance and participate in process improvement initiatives.
