Aequor in Ridgefield, CT is seeking a Scientist III to advance human pluripotent stem cell culture and in vitro studies, working independently and in collaboration with the team. The role emphasizes data interpretation, protocol development, and contributing to drug discovery programs.

The candidate will design non-routine assays, maintain equipment, and draft technical reports while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A recurring weekend commitment of 2–4 hours may be required.

Formación

• Experience in aseptic mammalian tissue culture techniques and basic molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR, Western Blot, ELISA, transfection.
• Master’s Degree with 3+ years’ experience or Bachelor’s with 7+ years’ experience in related field.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment with independence and draft technical reports.
• Written and verbal communication skills; ability to report technical data clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Initiates and completes routine in vitro studies independently; interprets results and proposes follow-up.
• Designs and executes non-routine cell-based assays and exploratory experiments.
• Keeps abreast of literature and applies findings to research.
• Maintains lab equipment, performs troubleshooting, and ensures safety/compliance.
• Proposes new experiments and technologies; contributes to training of staff.
• Communicates work effectively within team and documents protocols and reports.
• Maintains accurate electronic lab notebooks and complies with SOPs and policies.
