Fab Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Steel Fabrication Shop Superintendent to lead multifamily construction component production in Memphis, TN. You will supervise welders, fitters, and fabricators, ensuring on-time, quality output on onsite projects.

The role requires at least 5 years in fabrication or welding with 2 years in leadership; strong blueprint literacy and MIG/TIG/Stick welding expertise; and the ability to manage crews, safety, and production records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fabrication or welding shop experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Lead large crews and execute complex steel, aluminum, and precast concrete work.
• Read blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications with accuracy.
• Hands-on MIG, TIG, and Stick welding knowledge.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for production reporting and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor field crews of welders, fitters, and fabricators to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Manage the daily execution of shop workflows in strict accordance with project plans and safety protocols.
• Coordinate complex daily schedules and delegate workloads to maintain strict project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily production records and safety meetings to ensure project transparency.
• Resolve real-time technical and logistical issues on-site to prevent production delays or safety hazards.
• Implement production tracking tools and process improvements to systematically reduce material waste and downtime.
• Act as the primary field representative for ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
