Apex GeoTech Solutions is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead steel pipe procurement and procurement strategy within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will manage POs, optimize supplier relationships, and mentor junior buyers to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration with supply chain, production, and quality teams while maintaining ERP data accuracy and driving continuous improvement in sourcing practices.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, or related field.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Manufacturing purchasing experience required; steel background strongly preferred.
• Hands-on steel pipe purchasing experience required.
• Proficient in Excel; strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders within the ERP/MRP system.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, supplies, and services based on demand signals, production schedules, min/max levels, reorder points, and MRP recommendations.
• Monitor and maintain open purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery commitments.
• Work closely with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and shipment schedules.
• Assist in identifying alternate suppliers and sourcing opportunities when necessary.
