Cimolai-HY LLC in Chicago seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead steel fabrication projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate has a background in project management within steel fabrication, with a proven track record of delivering on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Strong leadership, communication skills, and proficiency with MS Project and Primavera are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience as a project manager in the steel fabrication industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, including detailing, fabrication, and erection.
• Excellent project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource management.
• Proficiency in project management software: Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera, MS Word and Outlook.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate project teams.
• Effective communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with data-driven issue resolution.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards (AISC, AWS welding codes).
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee all aspects of steel fabrication projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define scope and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal departments and subcontractors to communicate project requirements.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets and ensure milestones are met.
• Manage budgets, expenses, and forecast costs within constraints.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Provide timely project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Maintain project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documents.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
