Job summary

Veritas Steel, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator in Lisle, IL to own and drive the most complex bids and develop junior estimators. You will analyze drawings, specs, and cost data, apply rates, and coordinate procurement strategies to deliver timely proposals.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of estimating, fabrication, or similar manufacturing of heavy civil/bridge projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, project data, and contract documents.
• Extensive knowledge of general estimating and engineering principles and the methods of steel fabrication.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CPM master project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the largest, most complex bids and manage bid leadership.
• Prepare and analyze estimates for all labor, materials, and subcontracted work.
• Coordinate bid forms and assemble customer proposals.
• Mentor junior estimators and provide direction on complex estimating problems.
