Job summary

Atlas Copco Rental LLC is seeking an Area Sales Manager - Steam (West Region) to drive boiler rental sales growth across the West and Mid-Atlantic regions. This role emphasizes technical collaboration with engineering teams and strategic customer engagement from a remote base and occasional site visits.

You will manage a diverse customer base, develop annual sales plans with KPIs, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver tailored steam solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC, generators, chillers, boilers, or heat exchangers with rental/leasing experience.
• Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expand existing customer base within assigned territory to promote Atlas Copco Specialty Rental Division North America's boiler rental business.
• Daily calling on regular and prospective customers via phone or traveling throughout the assigned territory for planned visits and/or cold calling.
• Work closely with technical staff to provide customers with job site assessments, application solutions, equipment sizing, problem resolution and follow-through.
• Coordinate project specs with internal operational personnel to ensure that the objectives of the project is accomplished in accordance with the customer timeline and requirements.
• Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
• Prepare accurate and current progress reports for management on the status of all pending opportunities and customer-related activities.
• In concert with management, develop and achieve applicable Annual Territory Sales Plan which sets KPI's, revenue and market growth targets.
• Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple opportunities and clients concurrently.
• Ability to work effectively and meet objectives without detailed day-to-day direction.
• The successful ASM-Steam will be driven to improve the revenue for Steam in the Mid-Atlantic region. He/she will be an active Steam Subject Matter Expert and will be driven to grow the Steam Solutions business in the assigned area of responsibility.
