Job summary

WCG Clinical, Inc. is seeking a Senior Statistical Programmer to develop, validate, and document SAS programs for SDTM/ADaM datasets supporting regulatory submissions.

You will lead programming activities, mentor junior programmers, and collaborate with statisticians, data managers, and clinical teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. The role requires 5+ years SAS programming, 2+ years macro programming, and 3+ years in pharma/biotech/medical device with CDISC knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or related field.
• SAS Certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of SAS programming experience.
• 2 years of macro programming experience.
• At least 3 years in pharmaceutical, vaccines, biotech, or medical device industry.
• Phase 1–4 clinical trials experience.
• In-depth knowledge of CDISC requirements.
• Understanding of SAP programming specifications.
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and document SAS programs for clinical trial datasets (SDTM, ADaM) and outputs for regulatory submission.
• Lead programming activities and manage resources, timelines, and priorities for studies.
• Conduct quality control checks and peer code reviews on programming deliverables.
• Collaborate with statisticians, data managers, and clinical teams to meet project requirements.
• Troubleshoot programming and data issues to ensure timely data reporting.
• Oversee programming activities, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
• Mentor junior programmers and share industry best practices.
• Interpret SAP programming specifications and project documentation.
