Job summary

WCG seeks a Senior Principal Statistical Programmer to lead complex programming initiatives for clinical trials, including analysis datasets, tables, listings and figures. You will guide DMC deliverables, drive standards, and mentor the programming staff to ensure high quality outputs.

The role requires deep SAS expertise, proficiency in R, and experience with CDISC and regulatory submissions. Collaboration with biostatistics, PM, and IT is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; equivalent combination considered.
• 8–10 years of statistical programming in a clinical trial environment.
• Deep SAS programming expertise for regulatory deliverables.
• Proficiency in R programming is a must.
• Experience with CDISC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead complex programming across studies and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical expert in statistical programming across multiple studies.
• Design, validate, and oversee complex programming deliverables (tables, listings, figures).
• Lead development and standardization of DMC macros and programming standards.
• Provide oversight to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency of deliverables.
• Drive programming standards, best practices, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with biostatistics and study teams on design and analyses.
• Independently manage programming activities across studies and initiatives.
• Mentor statistical programming staff and support skill development.
• Contribute programming expertise to proposals, plans, and scope discussions.
• Partner with IT to support SAS environments and system validation.
• Support regulatory submissions and inspection readiness with programming deliverables.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and CDISC standards.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues and guide resolution.
