Katalyst CRO seeks an experienced Senior Statistical Programmer to turn specifications into SAS code and manage end-to-end project delivery for regulatory submissions. You will develop standardized macros, mentor junior staff, and ensure SDTM/ADaM mapping aligns with FDA guidance.

Qualifications

  • Must have expertise in SAS/Base, SAS/STAT, and knowledge of SAS/CONNECT, SAS/ACCESS, SAS/MACRO, SAS/GRAPH, SQL, and ODS.
  • Knowledge of SDTM and ADaM standards and regulatory guidance.
  • Understanding CFR Title 21 Part 11 for electronic records and signatures.
  • Strong organizational skills across multiple projects and timelines.
  • Experience as a lead statistical programmer on concurrent projects.
  • In-depth understanding of drug development and cross-functional interfaces.
  • Mentoring skills demonstrated through leading projects and junior team members.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence to achieve results.
  • Strong presentation and business awareness skills.
  • Ability to define strategies to improve clinical trial efficiency.
  • Comfort working in a quality-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages and DBMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Convert specifications into SAS code to generate datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
  • Own overall project delivery including clinical trial reports and regulatory submissions.
  • Create statistical analysis outputs for reports, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and submissions support.
  • Assist in establishing standardized programming procedures and work instructions.
  • Develop, enhance, evaluate, and validate standardized macros and utilities to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain clinical processing workflow systems.
  • Assist in developing client proposal documents.
  • Provide leadership, training, stakeholder management, sponsor support, resource management, and project management for programming tasks.
  • Provide input into timelines and lead a programming team to meet study deadlines and budgets.
  • Mentor programmers and disseminate SOP knowledge; follow sponsor SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide input into documents produced by other functions (biostatisticians, data managers, medical writers, etc.) and oversee records handling (e.g., CFR Part 11, eCTD, CDISC standards).
  • Assist in updating SOPs.
  • Develop SAS tools for compliant data analysis and reporting.
  • Develop specifications and annotate CRFs; map raw data to CDISC SDTM/ADaM standards.
  • Create define.xml files from metadata for SDTM and ADaM.
  • Convert data from other formats to SAS datasets.
