Apple Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a seasoned Manager of State Government Affairs to lead policy development and drive strategic engagements with state legislators.

You will shape policy programs and manage relations with government and industry stakeholders at the state level. As a senior member of the State Government Affairs team, you will guide policy priorities, coordinate advocacy initiatives, and represent Apple across government offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in government, government relations, or other advocacy/engagement roles at the state or local level working in/with executive and legislative offices and with extensive knowledge of the legislative process.
• Experience leading a portfolio of policy issues and coordinating policy-focused events.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement public policy initiatives and engagement strategies with state and local lobbyists.
• Develop and nurture relationships with key partners, as well as with industry trade associations, legislative and executive organizations and related nonprofit groups.
• Effectively communicate policy priorities and provide feedback on policy initiatives.
• Draft policy and background materials for relevant meetings and engagement.
• Travel extensively, both within your state territory and nationally across all 50 states. During session, expect an average of 2-5 trips per month.
