Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Principal Construction Project Engineer for Starship Infrastructure in Louisiana. You will lead land development and utility projects, coordinating across disciplines to design, build, and activate our next orbital launch site, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule.

Based in Starbase, TX until relocation, you will manage field teams, oversee permitting, engage with contractors, and drive build-ready sequences from scope through activation, leveraging CAD tools and PE

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, architecture, or construction management.
PE license and registration or ability to obtain one.
Experience leading large-scale land development and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Own land development and utility projects from early scope through activation, delivering on time and budget.
Build grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, domestic water, and underground utilities.
Support site feasibility, review civil designs for constructability, and plan field execution.
Manage field quality, coordinate multi-discipline contractors, and drive permitting.
Set requirements with stakeholders, solicit proposals, and manage contracts through closeout.
Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
