Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Process Assurance Engineer - Stampings in Warren, MI. You will turn vehicle designs into production-ready stamped parts and dies, leading technical assurance across part designs, dies, and processes.

Engage with suppliers, die builders, and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and quality from design through production. Required are a bachelor’s in engineering and hands-on stamping experience with strong GD&T and drawing interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Hands-on stamping experience and die know-how.
• Strong understanding of sheet-metal stamping, dies, presses, and tooling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assurance for stamped parts, dies, and processes.
• Provide DFMA feedback and identify manufacturability risks.
• Review part designs, process plans, and measurement data for quality.
• Coordinate actions with suppliers, plants, and cross-functional teams.
• Support tryouts, plant launches, and production readiness.
