Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Public Engagement & Outreach Lead to execute engagement planning and delivery for electric transmission projects. You will build relationships with communities, landowners, officials, and Tribal representatives, guiding projects through planning, permitting, construction, and closeout.

The role requires sound judgment, strong organizational and communication skills, and collaboration across engineering, environmental, regulatory, and stakeholder-engagement teams.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of stakeholder engagement, public affairs, community relations, or communications experience.
• Experience with electric transmission, utilities, renewable energy, or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong facilitation, negotiation, issue-management, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public engagement and stakeholder outreach plans for electric transmission projects.
• Coordinate open houses, workshops, hearings, community meetings, and outreach activities.
• Build relationships with landowners, communities, regulators, and Tribal entities.
• Prepare stakeholder materials and project communications.
• Explain project routing, schedule, impacts, and benefits clearly to diverse audiences.
• Collect and summarize stakeholder questions and feedback.
