Jacobs seeks a Public Engagement & Outreach Lead to direct engagement for electric transmission projects, building relationships with landowners, public officials, Tribal entities, and communities. You will plan outreach across planning, permitting, construction, and closeout phases.

The role requires coordinating public meetings, preparing stakeholder materials, and promoting equitable engagement while traveling up to 25% of the time to site visits and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or-equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive stakeholder engagement or related experience.
• Experience with electric transmission, utilities, or major infrastructure.
• Proven success leading engagement strategies for complex projects.
• Strong facilitation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience directing consultants or leading project teams.
• Ability to work independently and travel up to 25%.

Responsabilités

• Develop comprehensive public engagement plans for transmission projects.
• Coordinate open houses, workshops, hearings, and community meetings.
• Build relationships with landowners, regulators, officials, Tribal entities, and stakeholders.
• Prepare stakeholder materials and project communications.
• Assist with event logistics and documentation for engagement activities.
• Explain project details in clear, accessible language.
• Maintain outreach records, contact lists, and engagement metrics.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across engineering, permitting, and regulatory groups.
• Support compliance with public participation and permitting requirements.
• Mentor outreach staff and lead engagement professionals.
