Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Public Engagement & Outreach Lead to drive engagement across electric transmission projects, coordinating with landowners, regulators, tribes, and communities. You’ll develop comprehensive strategies, lead major public meetings, and mentor outreach professionals within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Eight+ years in progressive stakeholder engagement, public affairs, or communications.
• Experience with electric transmission, utilities, or major infrastructure.
• Proven success leading engagement strategies for complex projects.
• Strong facilitation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience directing consultants or leading project teams.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to represent the organization in sensitive public/regulatory settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for engagement on complex, high-profile projects.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for stakeholder relationships.
• Develop comprehensive engagement strategies and long-term plans.
• Direct outreach programs with multiple communities and internal teams.

• Coordinate with regulatory filings and executive briefings.
