Job summary

TATEFAB is seeking Master Craftsmen to lead our fabrication team in Nashville. The role focuses on precision in constructing structural and ornamental steel stair systems, reading blueprints, and ensuring AWS-weld quality.

You will mentor junior staff and oversee shop operations to meet deadlines. Candidates should have 3+ years of stair fabrication experience, a valid AWS D1.1 certification or the ability to certify, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced shop

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, technical training preferred.
• AWS D1.1 or ability to certify is required.
• Minimum 3 years of fabrication experience with steel stairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication of structural and ornamental steel stair systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and layout drawings.
• Uphold quality, safety, and efficiency on all stair projects.
• Train and supervise stair fabrication team members.
• Use measuring tools, squares, and levels to ensure fit-up accuracy.
• Perform welds to AWS standards for quality and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
