Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Stage Forming group to own forming operations and advance the capability to form up to 20' aluminum sheets for the Terran R primary structure.

You will create work instructions, standardize processes, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to deliver high-quality parts on schedule. This role offers exposure to automation and advanced tooling within a growing factory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or another engineering field.
• 4+ years progressive, related experience.
• Strong knowledge of metallic forming processes and manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities

• Own forming operations and improve roll forming and press brake processes.
• Launch a press brake work center and form up to 20' sheets.
• Create work instructions, specs, and best practices.
• Standardize processes across the manufacturing team.
• Support shop floor with live issue resolution and feedback.
• Provide DFM input to structures teams from development through prototypes.
