Job summary

Ambiq in Austin is seeking a Sr.Staff Engineer, Product Test Engineering, to lead development and optimization of ATE test solutions for ICs, supporting ramp-up and high-volume manufacturing.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Quality and Operations, transfer production, analyze test and yield data, drive yield improvements, and maintain test programs while reducing cost, with on-site work five days a week in NW Austin.

Qualifications

• BSEE with ~12 years of experience as a Test Engineer.
• Experience with ATE platforms, especially Cohu Unison (Diamond 10/X) and Advantest 93K.
• Experience in Mixed-Signal or RF ATE techniques.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing test processes.
• Strong knowledge of ATE test programming principles.
• Ability to implement process improvements and increase efficiency.
• Hardware LB/Probe Card knowledge.
• Statistical methods and process control.
• Software skills in C and Perl.
• Proficient in written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test equipment and bench test solutions for IC characterization, qualification, and production.
• Develop robust test solutions to achieve yield, test time, and product cost goals.
• Qualify products for mass production.
• Ensure that products shipped meet specifications and exceed quality goals.
• Debug and analyze returns.
• Develop scripts and tools for pattern generation, data parsing, yield analysis, and production support.
• Work on problems of broad scope requiring cross-functional analysis.
• Support production facilities for early production and product ramps.
• Evaluate and develop high-efficiency test methodologies for new IPs.
