Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. in Austin, Texas seeks an experienced Test Engineering leader to develop best-in-class ATE test programs and drive qualification, characterization, and correlation of complex products.

You will mentor junior engineers and partner with leadership to define processes that ensure scalable, high-quality test execution. The role emphasizes hands-on development of test software/hardware, data-driven ROI planning, and close collaboration with product engineering and operations

Qualifications

• 10 to 15+ years of experience with Automated Test Systems (ATE).
• Hands-on development of test programs for analog, digital and mixed-signal ICs.
• Experience with test data collection and debugging using standard lab tools.

• Support production yield and customer return activities for quality
• Act as a test platform expert on the ATE equipment in use for the test group
• Serve as a mentor for younger and less experienced engineers
• Support the tech/lab team in dealing with equipment calibration and maintenance issues and planning as required
• Manage 3rd party relationships and building success with external technical teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 10 to 15+ years of experience working with Automated Test Systems (ATE).
• 10 to 15+ years of hands-on experience in ATE test development for analog, digital and mixed signal, with a strong focus on analog power product testing.
• Experience in programming such as C++, basic, Perl, python, etc.
• Experience in testing and collecting data on IC chips or circuits using standard tools such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
• Proficient with ATE analog digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, and strong debug/troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on experience in debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces
• Experience with test hardware and test program development
