As a Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager, you will partner with key Engineering, Product, Product Design, Marketing, and Analytics stakeholders to conduct data-driven experiments and deliver features for MongoDB. As a seasoned program leader, you will be responsible for one of our most mission-critical programs this fiscal year and own executive-level communication related to the program.

We are looking for candidates based in the West Coast to work remotely or out of our San Francisco or Palo Alto offices.

The right candidate for this role will be:
  1. Experienced with 15+ years of working in an engineering organization leading complex cross-functional technical programs
  2. Experienced with 10 years of Software development background, preferably Cloud storage and compute products
  3. Able to leverage their knowledge and experience to influence technical discussions, summarizing outcomes and next steps
  4. Skilled at communicating across a diverse set of engineers and stakeholders
  5. Hyper-organized and capable of coordinating across multiple independent work streams and organizations
  6. A role model for effective execution practices, driven by an attuned sense of priority and urgency
  7. Able to leverage their experience in program delivery to influence improvements to our tools, operations, and architecture
  8. Trained in working with project tracking software (e.g., Jira, Rally, MS Project)
  9. Familiar with MongoDB or a comparable technology
  10. Interested in business automation work such as scripting in Python, Google Apps Script, and Slack

  1. Leverage technical acumen and analytical skills to drive engineering programs forward and maximize business value delivery
  2. Recognize patterns in a sea of information and take action accordingly
  3. Design, maintain, and improve the processes and tools that power program delivery
  4. Build strategic partnerships with Product and Engineering stakeholders
  5. Expand knowledge into new domains as called upon
  6. Act as a mentor to junior TPMs and lead by example
  7. Embody MongoDB's core values and leadership principles

MongoDB's base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB's base salary range for this role in the U.S. is: $140,000-$275,000 USD
