  • Understand information security frameworks and technical implementation at the architecture level, propose security/technical alternatives, ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be effective, and develop domain and technical knowledge.
  • Work closely with our leads and partners in Security, Product, Engineering, Design, Infrastructure (Cloud Native), Operations, and Analytics to map out strategies and roadmaps.
  • Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks, regularly communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders, and engage the project teams to achieve goals.
  • Partner with teams to elevate awareness of reported vulnerabilities and drive timely remediation within defined SLAs.
  • When needed, collaborate with the relevant Security team and cross functional stakeholders to coordinate necessary remediation (particularly for ambiguous long term remediation items) including but not limited to risks, incidents, vulnerabilities, other security issues.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; advanced certifications such as CISSP or CISM is a plus
  • 8 years of proven experience managing information security programs, such as; risk assessments, vulnerability management, platform, product security, and IAM
  • Knowledgeable about implementing metrics to effectively manage and evaluate the progress and success of programs
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest threat landscape and be aware of new vulnerabilities/risks that could potentially impact the product/platform
  • Skilled at working with diverse teams to plan strategies, experienced in successfully launching software projects, and excellent at communicating clearly
  • Passion and drive to change consumer finance for the better
  • Obsesses over getting the details right but knows how to ship on time
  • Working and driving strategic programs and building a remote friendly culture.
  • Actively mentors and levels up team members
  • Track record of successfully driving complex large technology applications and geographically distributed backend systems.
  • Track record of strong stakeholder management with Infrastructure, Engineering, Product, Design, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams.
