Job summary

San Diego Stealth Startup seeks a Senior Staff Systems Architect, Data Quality to drive high-throughput data generation for our genomic platform. You will own models for data quality, signal-to-noise, throughput, and runtime, and collaborate with scientists and engineers to diagnose and resolve gaps between predictions and experiments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of data analysis experience for BS, 10+ years for MS, or 6+ years for PhD.
• Experience designing experiments and integrating complex platform systems.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with engineering, scientific and informatics teams.
• Experience developing and owning system-level models and budgets for biological research platforms.
• Experience using AI tools to prototype and deploy analysis pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C++ or similar language.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level models for data quality, signal-to-noise ratio, throughput, and other key performance metrics.
• Analyze and resolve complicated integration challenges involving hardware, software, biology, and informatics using a data-based approach.
• Lead multi-disciplinary structured problem-solving teams as needed to resolve the most serious issues.
• Design and perform systematic experiments to identify critical parameters and optimize performance and reliability.
• Develop metrics and diagnostics to guide the work of the hardware and chemistry teams and give them key insights into the results of their experiments.
